The Integral Enneagram Institute Becomes the Institute for Integral
Enneagram Studies
The Integral Enneagram Institute has changed its name
to the Institute for Integral Enneagram Studies, as it launches an
expanded series of studies and courses with a unique approach. The name
change will offer the general public a clearer and more differentiated
brand in the crowded field of personal development and consciousness
studies. The Institute will continue to develop and deliver real world,
practical curricula increasing awareness and teaching conscious
communication techniques.

Integral Enneagram Institute has changed its name to the Institute for
Integral Enneagram Studies, as it launches an expanded series of studies
and courses with a unique approach. The name change will offer the
general public a clearer and more differentiated brand in the crowded
field of personal development and consciousness studies. The Institute
will continue to develop and deliver real world, practical curricula
increasing awareness and teaching conscious communication techniques.
As the study of the Enneagram and its application to
personal development, relationships and business has become more widely
used and accepted, the need for an accurate and reliable Enneagram model
has become more important. Human Resource professionals and coaches
around the world are making important decisions based upon this model.
Over the past few decades, a kind of pop culture version of the
Enneagram has coalesced and gained prominence in the mainstream market,
due to a combination of a proliferation of practitioners, and a
perception of a lack of alternative versions or choices being offered.
This in effect created a stemming of ideas and discussion in a field of
philosophy that is still evolving. As in any field, one approach will
suit certain learning styles, and not others.
The perception of this lack of choices or options within the field of
Enneagram study was identified as problematic by the Institute's
Director Ian Blei, as a large number of individuals and organizations
contacted the Institute, expressing confusion, disappointing results, or
lack of fulfillment from a system that should have been serving them.
The Institute for Integral Enneagram Studies offered these individuals
and organizations a unique and significantly different model to work
with, and the response and results were extremely positive. Thus,
differentiation and identity branding became a higher priority to the
Institute within the marketplace of personal development, Human
Resources, and Organizational Development.
The truly Integral nature of the Institute's unique model brings
together, among many other disciplines, Hermeneutics (emphasizing the
importance of interaction and communication in determining the meaning
behind words), the Altitude models of consciousness evolution from
Spiral Dynamics to Integral Consciousness, and an application process
similar to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, without stepping across
the line into psychotherapy. These unique programs offer the public
choices they may not have known were available. Furthermore, working
with a Wellness Model (honing natural gifts) rather than a Disease Model
(concentrating on the subject's negative issues) has been well received
by the Institute's clientele, who cite increased performance in the
workplace and in their relationships.

Integral Enneagram Institute
Launches in San Francisco
San Francisco, CA, September 05, 2007 --(
President of the International Association of Coaches
and creator of Cut to the Chase.
Inspired by the premise that greed, aggression, and violence are
functions of under-developed consciousness, not widespread
psychological pathologies, the Integral Enneagram Institute will
be dedicated to exploring, developing, and providing
methodologies for accelerating this development of consciousness
in people everywhere.
Starting in the 1970’s while
still in high school, Mr. Blei developed the beginnings of the
Integral Enneagram Model, using a vision of consciousness as the
interaction and integration of three different processing
centers, rather than a singular entity. Seeing how this created
different learning styles in different people, Blei incorporated
this variation of styles in his approaches with clients
throughout college and his career as a business re-engineering
and management consultant.
Mr. Blei continued working
on this model, adding and synthesizing aspects from hundreds of
existing models, while testing his theories working in
real-world business situations. Successfully assisting widely
disparate clients to achieve their goals proved the “Multi-Path
Model” viable to Mr. Blei, who states: “Founding the Institute
creates an entity capable of developing and providing
individualized programs of this quality on a larger scale for
more people.”
Mr. Blei added, “What differentiates
the Integral Enneagram Institute is the development of different
methodologies for different learning styles, thus increasing the
absorption and effectiveness of the learning. Coursework and
studies will emulate the natural evolution of consciousness,
merely at an accelerated pace.”
The Institute
